Working out update

by Destructing David

I think I’m going to have to come to terms with the fact that no matter how good my intentions are to blog, I’m always too busy (read: lazy) to keep it up for any length of time! Oh well, I’m here again, let’s see how long it lasts this go around :)

I haven’t made the great progress with my work out goals in the last 6 months. Work has been busy (I’m just about to launch a business that has been 3 years in the making!) and moving house, and thus father from the gym, makes it easy to be lazy and not go so often.

I have made a concerted effort over the last 6 or 7 weeks to get back on track, my diet has improved once more, and I am managing all my gym sessions. It’s really just about better organisation of time. I have also come to terms with the fact that I can’t do 5 sessions a week. I have decided to pair up my muscle groups again so I can get through my whole body in 3 sessions per week. Any more I do manage to fit in is a bonus cardio/leg session.

I dropped back 8 or 9 pounds to 12 st 5 ish, however with my efforts reignited I have clawed my way back up to 13 stone. My body fat stays a pretty much consistent 16%.

So once more I find that I’ve hit 13 stone (182 pounds/82.5kg) with 14 more pounds to go to hit my original goal weight. I’m trying to be realistic about it, and I’m aiming to get there by April next year. In that time though also want to begin dropping my body fat with the end goal for that being 9%.

Looking further into the future I hope to maintain the lean mass and from there build strength, endurance and take up a sport I can do with other people. Whilst I love my solitary confinement to the gym, doing something energetic in a group would be a welcome break I think, especially when it comes to cardio as I lose my mind on the dread mill.
